Spider Pinning Workshop
About this event
Pinning Workshop: Spiders
MBHI’s very own Museum Interpreter and Naturalist, Madeline Kleeman, will lead this exciting introductory workshop on pinning a non-living large spider. Learn how to prepare one spider, and leave with instructions on some of the ways to mount your specimen when it is dry. This class requires the delicate task of gutting and stuffing the abdomen of the animal.
Please note: Pinning includes using sharp pins and working with delicate species, so attention to detail, manual dexterity, and patience are required. All tools provided.
