Pulse: After college student Taguchi (Kenji Mizuhashi) commits suicide, a number of young adults living in Tokyo witness terrifying visions transferred across the Internet. As more people disappear throughout the city, the Internet becomes a breeding ground for malevolent spirits. Three seemingly disconnected stories follow Michi (Kumiko Asô), Ryosuke (Haruhiko Katô) and Harue (Koyuki) as they attempt to solve the mystery behind the ghostly visions that are seeping beyond their computer monitors. From Kiyoshi Kurosawa, the master filmmaker behind Cure, Cloud, and The Samurai and the Prisoner.
Preceded by a screening of NET, written and directed by Roxy Education Coordinator Kal Bailey, and produced by Roxy Graphic Designer Grace Wolcott. NET was a selection in the 2024 Montana Film Festival.
A self-isolating photographer who has drifted away from her closest friend begins a strange friendship with the lonely owner of an antiquated computer she meets during a power outage at her college.
