About this program
Our Community School Program, in partnership with MCPS, is back for another year! This program picks kids up directly from their classroom upon dismissal and spends the afternoon building relationships and exploring different types of fun recreational activities. The afternoon includes structured and unstructured supervised play, a provided snack, and different organizations coming by to provide special programming. Trailblazer and Kindergarten participants are grouped based on age and have rotating schedules filled with crafts, games, activities, and projects. 1st –5th grade students pick specific topic clubs to participate in daily – including soccer, film making, games and clay. Pick up between 5-5:30 at Franklin School. Does not meet during MCPS school breaks.
