About this camp

Join a 10-day summer program for high school students and incoming college freshman to explore university life and academics at the University of Montana’s Davidson Honors College.

Through engaging lab exercises, local field collection, and writing scientific lab reports, students will be introduced to ecological principles at the population, community, and ecosystem levels.

How to join

Eligibility

Ages or grades
Students entering their senior year of high school in the fall of 2026, or seniors who are graduating in the spring of 2026.

Cost and supplies

Published cost
Scholarship awards apply toward Schwanke Honors Institute program costs and cannot be applied toward auxiliary costs of participation (for example, travel expenses).
What to bring
Rain Jacket; Comfortable shoes for walking and hiking (waterproof or water resistant is a bonus!); Warm outer layer—example: fleece or synthetic down jacket; Warm hat; Warm gloves; 1-2 pairs of synthetic socks (good for walking and hiking); Sleeping bag (basic bedding provided in dorms and cabins); Reusable water bottle (Nalgene or another brand)
