Meals
A nutritious breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack are served each day. The program participates in the USDA Child and Adult Food Program receiving funds for the service of meals and snacks that meet program requirements.

Philosophy

ASUM Child Care Preschool and Family Resources' purpose is to provide high quality care and education for children (newborn to age 8) of University of Montana students, faculty and staff in an accredited developmentally appropriate program. A byproduct of our mission is the opportunity to provide employment opportunities for U of M students interested in working with young children.

A typical day

Outside Play: Children play outside each day for at least a few minutes. Quiet Time: Staff daily record child's sleeping and resting practices for toddlers.

Classrooms and ratios

Classrooms
Learning Center I (4-5 yr olds), Learning Center II Green (3-5 yr old flex), Early Learning Center II Infants (0-23 mths), Early Learning Center I (2-3 yr olds), Learning Center II Red (19-35 mths olds)
Ratio or class size
A maximum ratio of 1 to 8 children is maintained in each preschool center and 1 to 6 in the Early Learning Center III. A 1 to 4 ratio is maintained in the Early Learning Center I and Early Learning Center II.
