Philosophy

The Missoula Family YMCA is dedicated to Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility. Our mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.

A typical day

Each afternoon, children will enjoy structured activities like art, STEM activities, and games—alongside plenty of time for outdoor play and time with friends. Children in YMCA After School also receive healthy snacks every afternoon.

Classrooms and ratios

Classrooms
Child Care (Ages 0-5): licensed early learning programs for young children ages 0-5; Child Care (Grades EL-5): licensed after school programs, no-school day camps, and full- and half-day summer camps for students in grades EL-5
Ratio or class size
As a licensed child care program, YMCA Early Learning Centers maintain strict child-to-adult ratios in its classrooms. In the event of a mixed-age classroom, we defer to the lower ratio. Talk to your center's director to learn more about our ratios.
