About this group
The Western Montana Astronomical Association was founded in 1982 and is located in Missoula, Montana. Our club is dedicated to a personal appreciation of astronomy and to expanding public awareness of the night sky and astronomical happenings.
Our club supports checkout telescopes at a number of libraries in western Montana. Club members from the WMAA often attend these events in lieu of our summer meetings to supplement the instruction and equipment of the university.
