Montana's FAS Program provides public access to high quality waters for angling, boating, rafting, and other recreation opportunities. In addition, fishing access sites are often popular areas for hunting, wildlife viewing, hiking, bird watching, picnicking, etc.

- The department may designate and sign individual parking spaces or groups of parking spaces for vehicle parking, boat trailer parking, day use parking, and registered camper parking at public use sites. Parking outside of these designated, signed parking spaces is prohibited.
