The Montana Native Botanic Garden on the University of Montana campus in Missoula was established in 1967 around the greenhouse of the Natural Sciences Building, just west of the University Center.

About this place

The Montana Native Botanic Garden on the University of Montana campus in Missoula was established in 1967 around the greenhouse of the Natural Sciences Building, just west of the University Center. In early 2015, the garden was renamed in memory of its two principal founders, Klaus Lackschewitz (say “lock-shave-its”) and Sherman Preece.
