Seeley Lake Campground

Seeley Lake Campground is located on the western shore of Seeley Lake, a glacial-formed lake situated in a valley between the Swan and Mission mountain ranges. Seeley Lake is one of a half a dozen lakes within the valley known as the 'Chain of Lakes' through which the Clearwater River flows.

Seeley Lake Campground is well known for its picturesque views of the Swan Range and for its towering Western larch trees. The campground receives heavy use and is a popular destination for swimming, boating, fishing, picnicking, and wildlife viewing.

Arrival
From the town of Seeley Lake, travel north on Highway 83 for 5 miles and then turn west on Boy Scout Raod for approximately 4 miles. The campground entrance is on the left. There is currently a bridge closure on Boy Scout Road impacting access from the south.
Parking
No camping is allowed in the parking lot.
Fees
$20 per night. $5 fee for each additional vehicle after two vehicles.
Hours
Open May 22, 2026 - September 8, 2026; open 24 hours/day.
Dogs
Must be physically restrained on a 6 foot leash.
Use rules
Site Closed. Horse/Pack animals are not allowed at this site. No camping is allowed in the parking lot. Please visit the Forest's Alerts page for information on restrictions, in particular please review the Food/Wildlife Attractant Storage Order to help reduce the likelihood of human-to-bear conflicts.
