Freestone Climbing Center has an after-school program for ages 5 to 18 that needs no experience, plus intro, intermediate and advanced club teams. The YMCA has a youth climbing club for ages 7 to 14, private lessons, and open climb hours for members. Sussex School teaches an intro rock climbing class and an advanced program with a camping trip to City of Rocks, and Campus Recreation at the University of Montana holds belay clinics.
