About this program

The MSEF Freeride skiing program is designed to focus on the training and development of athletes aged 12 to 19 seeking to compete in big mountain freeride skiing.

Prospective participants are expected to be able to ski EVERYTHING at Snowbowl safely and confidently. Trainings will focus on alpine skiing drills and techniques, off-piste skiing, air awareness, and backcountry skiing/avalanche safety. Athletes should expect to set seasonal goals based on the IFSA (International Freeskiers & Snowboarders Association) competition judging criteria of proper technique, control, line choice, fluidity, and style. Comps are NOT required.
