About this place

The West Fork Fish Creek Trail #101 crosses the bridge and heads south towards Cedar Peak, while North Fork Fish Creek Trail #103 heads west from the trailhead, connecting to Straight Creek Trail #99 and then turning north. From these primary trails visitors can access the vast Great Burn area on both sides of the state line.

Practical information

Arrival
From I-90 exit 66, head south on Fish Creek Road #343 for 10.4 miles. Turn right on West Fork Fish Creek Road #7750, following signs for University of Iowa camp. The campground will be in 6.6 miles.
Parking
Parking for large horse trailers is available.
Hours
Open year-round, snow dependent.
Dogs
Dogs must be under control at all times.
