Big Sky Horse Park

The 90 acre Big Sky Horse Park (BSHP, formerly “Missoula Equestrian Park”) is bordered by a 1.7 mile perimeter trail, which acts as a boundary for the facility’s many features.

About this place

From what was once a cow pasture and farm land, the Big Sky Horse Park has blossomed into an incredible addition to the Missoula County Parks and Trails Program. Originally conceived as an equestrian facility, the Park is now enjoyed by the entire Missoula and Western Montana Community.

From I90: Take Reserve St. exit, turn right on South Ave. W, at Big Sky High School turn right on 31st Ave, road swings left and turns into North Ave. W, look for entrance on right hand side.
Parking
A paved parking lot is located near the corner of Tower and Spurgin Road. Additional parking is available off of Maverick Lane. Please avoid parking directly on Tower Street. Parking for equestrian events is located off of the 35th Avenue entrance through the gate. Please note that this gate may be closed to vehicle traffic, but anyone can enter the park on foot.
