Primary function of the Blackfoot-Clearwater WMA is to provide elk and deer winter range. Camping is permitted for a maximum of 16 days. Grizzly bears occupy the Blackfoot Clearwater so food storage orders must be followed. Permits are also required for use by groups of more than 15 people, for any commercial activity, and for restricted trapping opportunities.

Located in Missoula and Powell counties, take MT Highway 200 east approximately 6 miles from its junction with MT Highway 83 to Woodworth county road. Follow Woodworth county road north approximately 2 miles to the main entrance.
