About this place

At Maclay Flat, you will find parking, restrooms, trail side picnic tables, interpretive signs and two connected hiking loops. These two loop trails are 1.25 and 1.75 miles long and include benches and wide paths.

From Interstate 90, take the U.S. Highway 93 exit #101 and head south through Missoula. Turn right onto Blue Mountain Road and head west to the main trailhead.

The trailhead has a large parking area near a 90-degree bend; equestrian parking is south of the main trailhead.

Unleashed dogs are prohibited at Maclay Flats. Control your pets and pack out your dog's waste.

Blue Mountain Recreation Area East Zone is day use only and closed 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.; paint balling is prohibited.
