Travelers' Rest State Park in Lolo is an archaeologically verified Lewis and Clark campsite, and Fort Fizzle, also in Lolo, has interpretive signs and a step-free picnic site. Garnet Ghost Town is a preserved 1890s gold mining town outside the Missoula area. The Savenac Historic Tree Nursery Visitor Center has a self-guided interpretive trail.
